The Supreme Court has refused to hear a petition seeking restrictions on public statements by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay, Minister Aadhav Arjuna and other Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) leaders regarding the Karur stampede incident. The petition was filed by the DMK General Secretary, who requested the court to prevent political leaders from commenting publicly on the case.
By declining to entertain the plea, the Supreme Court has provided relief to Chief Minister Vijay and other TVK leaders. The decision means there will be no judicial restriction on their public remarks in connection with the Karur stampede case at this stage, while the legal proceedings related to the incident continue separately.
