BRS MLA Sunitha Lakshma Reddy has strongly criticised Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy over his remarks during the Independence Day celebrations in Sangareddy. Speaking at a press conference at Telangana Bhavan in Hyderabad, she alleged that the Chief Minister focused on personal attacks against KCR and Harish Rao instead of discussing issues concerning the state’s development. She credited the previous BRS government with providing drinking water to households through Mission Bhagiratha and alleged that the Congress government had failed to properly implement its promises on ration cards, fine rice, farmer support, loan waivers and power supply.
Sunitha Lakshma Reddy also questioned the government over employment promises, unemployment benefits and the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam scheme. She alleged that farmers, unemployed youth and students were facing difficulties under the present government. Reacting to Revanth Reddy’s alleged remarks about “black magic” against Harish Rao, she said such statements were inappropriate for a Chief Minister and questioned the relevance of making such allegations in modern times. She further claimed that the Chief Minister’s visit to Sangareddy was limited to political criticism and warned that continued attacks on BRS leaders could affect the Congress party’s prospects in the Medak region in the next election.
