Under the name of the NTR Trust, the wife of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Nara Bhuvaneshwari, who has been serving women and underprivileged communities in society, has recently initiated another service. Through this initiative, she aims to provide financial support to women. It is well known that the NTR Trust has been offering employment opportunities to women. At NTR Trust centers in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, women have been trained in handicrafts, enabling them to stand on their own feet.
To further empower these employed women, a group called ‘Stree Shakti Mahila Sangham’ has been formed, comprising 600 women members. The NTR Trust has also taken responsibility for marketing the products made by this group. As part of this initiative, ‘Stree Shakti Handicrafts Stores’ are being set up in major cities such as Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Tirupati, Visakhapatnam, Kurnool, and Warangal. These stores will sell the products made by women associated with the NTR Trust.
Recently, Nara Bhuvaneshwari inaugurated these products, made from quality materials at minimal profit margins. She officially opened the new Stree Shakti Handicrafts Store near the main gate of the NTR Trust Bhavan in Hyderabad, in her capacity as Managing Trustee of the NTR Trust. The proceeds from the sales, after deducting expenses, will be credited to the account of the Sangham, and will be used for the benefit of its members. Women will also have access to essential clothing, items, and other accessories at affordable prices through these stores.
