Stay Away from Drugs, Says Home Minister Vangalapudi Anita

Home Minister Vangalapudi Anita urged the youth to stay away from drugs and focus on building a bright future. She said the government is taking strict measures to eliminate the menace of narcotics. The minister flagged off the ‘Abhyudayam’ cycle rally in Payakaraopeta of Anakapalli district on Wednesday. The rally, organised by the police across the Visakhapatnam range, aims to spread awareness about drug abuse. Anita said the coalition government is giving high priority to youth welfare and has intensified action against ganja and other illicit substances.

Officials stated that the rally will cover around 500 km over 25 days across Anakapalli, Vizianagaram, Parvathipuram, Manyam and Srikakulam districts. The Home Minister, along with the DIG and SP, cycled along with the participants up to the outskirts of the town.
