Former minister Ambati Rambabu, who is currently lodged as a remand prisoner at the Rajahmundry Central Jail in a case related to alleged derogatory remarks against Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, is using a sleep apnea device while resting. Medical experts state that such devices are generally prescribed for individuals suffering from breathing-related disorders during sleep. In sleep apnea cases, breathing levels may drop significantly during sleep and recover after a brief interval.
Doctors explain that the device helps maintain adequate oxygen levels in the body and prevents complications during sleep. Since the condition can occur unpredictably, the device is usually worn before going to sleep. Jail authorities confirmed that the sleep apnea equipment was provided to Ambati Rambabu following court directions, ensuring that necessary medical care is extended to him while in judicial custody.
