Ahead of the Bhavani Deeksha relinquishment ceremonies at the Kanaka Durga Temple atop Indrakeeladri in Vijayawada, Home Minister Vangapudi Anitha conducted a review meeting with temple authorities. She stated that extensive arrangements are in place to ensure a smooth experience for devotees.
The relinquishment rituals will take place from December 11 to 15, and nearly six lakh Bhavani devotees are expected to visit. Devotees will perform a 9-km Giri Pradakshina around Indrakeeladri before offering prayers to Goddess Durga.
VIP and VVIP darshans have been cancelled during this period. To prevent children from going missing, scanner tags are being provided. The temple has prepared 60 lakh laddus to avoid prasadam shortage, and daily annadanam will continue without interruption.
