Speaker Gives Clean Chit to Jagtial MLA Dr Sanjay in Defection Case

The Speaker has given a clean chit to Jagtial MLA Dr Sanjay in the defection case. BRS MLA Jagadish Reddy had filed a petition seeking his disqualification, alleging that Dr Sanjay had switched parties. However, the Speaker ruled that there was no sufficient evidence to prove defection and dismissed the disqualification petition.

Out of ten MLAs who faced defection allegations, the Speaker has so far given clean chits to eight legislators. Decisions are still pending in the cases of Kadiyam Srihari and Danam Nagender. The issue has become a topic of political debate in Telangana.
