Telangana Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar has taken a key decision regarding the disqualification petitions filed against MLAs Kadiyam Srihari and Danam Nagender. After examining the petitions, the Speaker dismissed them, stating that there was no concrete evidence to prove that the two legislators had officially switched parties. The decision was announced on Wednesday, just ahead of the Supreme Court’s scheduled hearing on the matter, drawing significant attention in political circles.
The Speaker also reviewed disqualification petitions filed against a total of ten MLAs and granted them a clean chit. He clarified that in the absence of sufficient evidence, there was no basis to proceed with any disciplinary action against them. The ruling has sparked discussions in Telangana’s political landscape, with leaders from various parties expressing differing opinions on the decision.
