In a significant political development in Maharashtra, six Members of Parliament from the Uddhav Thackeray-led faction have reportedly joined the Shiv Sena led by Eknath Shinde. The leaders formally joined the party in the presence of Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, further strengthening his position within the organization. The move is being viewed as another major setback for the Uddhav faction amid the continuing battle for political dominance in the state.
Speaking on the occasion, Eknath Shinde reiterated that his faction represents the original Shiv Sena and remains committed to carrying forward the ideology and vision of the party founder, Bal Thackeray. He asserted that his group continues to uphold the principles and legacy established by Bal Thackeray, while emphasizing the party's commitment to strengthening its presence across Maharashtra.
