The political heat is rising in the Jubilee Hills by-election. Former minister and senior BRS leader Harish Rao launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, accusing him of misleading voters and abusing government machinery for political gain. On Monday, Harish Rao, along with other BRS leaders, met Chief Electoral Officer Sudarshan Reddy and lodged a complaint. He alleged that the Congress party is distributing money, liquor, and sarees to influence voters and submitted related video evidence to the CEO.
He demanded that the Congress party office located near the Yousufguda polling booth be shifted immediately. Harish Rao said, “CM Revanth Reddy seems to be under pressure. Why is he suddenly reviewing the six guarantees that were ignored for the past two years?” He added, “Revanth has already accepted defeat. The sudden review meetings are just political drama. No matter what tricks are played, the people of Jubilee Hills will vote wisely.”
Harish Rao also raised concerns about the presence of thousands of fake voter ID cards, urging the Election Commission to investigate the matter. He demanded special counters for women voters and deployment of CRPF forces for polling duties. Other BRS leaders including Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Koppula Eshwar, Jeevan Reddy, and Kaushik Reddy accompanied Harish Rao during the meeting.
