

In view of the ongoing tensions in West Asia, Andhra Pradesh Minister for NRI Affairs Kondapalli Srinivas urged Telugu people residing in Gulf countries not to panic. He assured that the state government is prepared to bring everyone back safely if required.
The minister stated that the government is closely monitoring the safety of Telugu citizens in Gulf nations and will extend all necessary support. Speaking to the media at Andhra Pradesh Bhavan in New Delhi on Monday, he said that discussions are being held with concerned officials in the national capital as per the directions of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu.
According to preliminary estimates, nearly five to six lakh Telugu people are currently living in Gulf countries. A special control room has been set up at AP Bhavan in Delhi to coordinate assistance. He advised people to make use of services provided by Indian embassies in the respective countries.
