The momentum around the upcoming panchayat elections in the state is steadily rising. With the nomination process for the first two phases already completed, the State Election Commission has officially allotted symbols to the candidates contesting in the first phase scheduled for December 11.
Following the announcement, campaigning has intensified across villages, with candidates focusing on educating voters about their allotted symbols.
Since panchayat elections are less influenced by political party affiliations, the focus remains largely on the candidates’ reputation and their development agenda. Many contestants are reaching out to voters with promises of transforming villages and implementing long-pending development works.
Nomination filing for the third phase has begun today. The polling schedule is as follows:
First Phase – December 11
Second Phase – December 14
Third Phase – December 17
With the election atmosphere heating up, both political leaders and voters are closely watching the developments across all three phases.
