

Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his delight over the hospitality extended to him at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s residence during his recent visit. Both nations discussed a wide range of issues and signed understanding agreements to strengthen bilateral cooperation. Putin highlighted that India and Russia currently share trade worth $64 billion, and both countries aim to achieve a business target of $100 billion by 2030. He emphasized that they would continue to expand commercial ties, collaborate on joint projects, and promote technological development.
Putin also assured that Russia is ready to support India’s energy requirements and cooperate in the Kudankulam nuclear power project. He further mentioned plans for joint efforts in the defense and healthcare sectors and expressed support for India’s Make in India initiative. Additionally, he announced that India will host the BRICS summit next year, reaffirming the commitment to enhance strategic, economic, and technological collaboration between the two nations.
