Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy launched a sharp attack on the BRS leadership and BJP leader Eetala Rajender over the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project. Referring to the National Dam Safety Authority (NDSA) report, he said structural defects in the Medigadda Barrage had already been identified and alleged that the previous BRS government ignored technical recommendations. He also criticised certain retired irrigation officials, accusing them of attempting to justify the BRS government's stand on the project.
Revanth Reddy said the Congress government is committed to restoring the Kaleshwaram project by following the recommendations of expert agencies and ensuring compliance with Central Water Commission guidelines. During his remarks, he also levelled allegations of irregularities and commissions against former BRS leaders, including K. Chandrashekar Rao, Harish Rao and K. T. Rama Rao, while accusing Eetala Rajender of defending the previous government's decisions on the project.
