The Telangana government is considering naming several key roads in Hyderabad after global leaders and major corporations. As part of this plan, the government has proposed naming the 100-meter-wide greenfield radial road from Raviryal to Future City after industrialist Ratan Tata. The Raviryal interchange has already been named the Tata Interchange.
In another significant move, the government is also exploring the possibility of naming the major road in front of the U.S. Consulate in Hyderabad as Donald Trump Avenue. If approved, this would be the first road in the world named after the U.S. President. The proposal will be sent to the Ministry of External Affairs and the U.S. Embassy for approval.
Further, the government is reviewing names like Google Street, Microsoft Road, and Wipro Junction for major roads in the IT Corridor. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy believes that naming roads after globally influential personalities and companies will honor their contributions and elevate Hyderabad’s international identity. These names, he said, will also inspire citizens and visitors who travel on these routes.
