

Puli Venkateshwarlu, the SI of Kodad Town in Suryapet district, has resigned from his government job to contest in the upcoming Sarpanch elections. Despite having just five months of service left before retirement, he opted for voluntary retirement (VRS), reflecting the seriousness of his decision. Venkateshwarlu stated that his intention behind this step is purely to serve the people.
He said that the development of his birthplace, Gudibanda village, remains his primary goal. He mentioned that he is preparing special plans for improving basic amenities in the village, creating employment opportunities for the youth, promoting women’s welfare, and enhancing infrastructure facilities. Emphasizing that the trust and support of the people are his strength, he added that he wanted to dedicate more time to the village, which is why he resigned from his job.
Meanwhile, the nomination process for the first phase of gram panchayat elections in the state concluded today. Being the last day for filing nominations, several villages witnessed political buzz and interesting developments. In Gudibanda as well, Venkateshwarlu’s filing of nomination has become a topic of discussion among the villagers.
