

Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Thursday announced that 265 vacant engineer posts in the R&B department will be filled soon. He stated that laptops and tablets would be provided to Assistant Engineers working in the field to improve efficiency. The Minister also assured that pending seniority issues related to Andhra Pradesh employees following state bifurcation would be resolved at the earliest. Speaking at the R&B department office, he inaugurated the R&B Engineers Association diary and calendar.
Addressing the gathering, the Minister said the Roads and Buildings department plays a vital role in the state’s overall development. He promised to construct a fully equipped auditorium in the new year, as per employees’ request. Highlighting key achievements, he noted that the R&B Road Policy was unveiled for the first time in history at a global summit, reflecting the department’s long-term vision. He added that major projects such as the Mannanur–Srisailam elevated corridor and greenfield highways are driving the department forward. Praising the R&B department as the largest contributor to state development, he urged employees to work with dedication, integrity, and responsibility, and described department engineers and staff as members of his own family. The Minister later shared lunch with the employees.
