Ram Chander Rao stated that Bandi Bhagirath’s father had not committed any wrongdoing and clarified that the party would certainly take action if any leader was found guilty. He said seeking anticipatory bail is a legal right and added that Bhagirath had not absconded but later surrendered after the bail petition remained pending.
The Telangana BJP chief also questioned the opposition, asking whether K. Kavitha’s arrest in the Delhi liquor policy case had led to the resignation of K. Chandrashekar Rao or K. T. Rama Rao. He alleged that crores of rupees were being spent to run a negative campaign against Bhagirath and his father.
