

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy described Rajiv Gandhi as a great visionary leader who sacrificed his life for the nation. On the occasion of Rajiv Gandhi’s death anniversary, the Chief Minister along with Congress leaders paid tributes at his statue located at the Secretariat.
Speaking on the occasion, the CM lauded Rajiv Gandhi for bringing the technological revolution to India. He said that it was Rajiv Gandhi who introduced computers, IT, and telecommunications to the country. He also highlighted that Rajiv Gandhi played a key role in providing reservations for women in local bodies.
Revanth Reddy further stated that the Gandhi family, especially Rahul Gandhi’s family, has made immense sacrifices for the nation. He said that the people of Telangana are deeply indebted to Sonia Gandhi, adding that the formation of Telangana became possible due to her bold decision. He also criticized the Modi government, alleging that it created hurdles in the implementation of the Women’s Reservation Bill by linking it with delimitation. The CM demanded that the NDA government convene a special session of Parliament and pass the Women’s Reservation Bill without delay.
