He also claimed that fuel prices would rise again soon, making essential commodities more expensive for common people.

Rahul Gandhi further accused the Modi government of failing to control inflation and alleged that industrialist groups were benefiting from crude oil imports while common citizens suffered from rising fuel prices. He also criticised the Prime Minister over foreign visits and economic policies.
