

AICC senior leader and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, will visit Telangana on Monday to energize the state Congress unit. He will attend the DCC presidents’ training session scheduled in Vikarabad as the chief guest. Rahul Gandhi is expected to arrive at Shamshabad airport from Delhi at 9:20 AM and proceed to Vikarabad by helicopter at 10:20 AM. He will participate in the training program at Haritha Hotel from 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM, interacting with DCC presidents and key party leaders. Later, he will return to Delhi in the evening.
Apart from the training sessions, the visit is also likely to focus on significant political matters in the state. A decision regarding candidates for the upcoming Rajya Sabha vacancies from Telangana may be discussed. Considerations such as social representation and party loyalty are expected to play a role.
Rahul Gandhi is also reportedly expected to meet former Maoist leaders to discuss public issues and ground-level developments.
