Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi strongly criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi over a video released amid the controversy surrounding alleged irregularities and paper leaks in the NEET examination. Calling the late-night video “pathetic” and an insult to students, Rahul reiterated his demand for Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation, saying he should take moral responsibility for the controversy.
In a post on X on Friday, Rahul also demanded an apology from the Prime Minister and strict action against those responsible for alleged attacks on protesting students. His remarks came shortly after Modi said stringent measures against examination paper leaks would be discussed at a Cabinet meeting. With students and youth groups continuing protests over the NEET-UG controversy, opposition parties, including the Congress, have intensified pressure on the Centre to ensure accountability and justice for affected candidates.
