BJP MP Raghunandan Rao has accused the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) of spreading misinformation over the issue of Godavari river waters. He alleged that the party was attempting to blame the Union government by claiming that Telangana was being denied its rightful share. Rao specifically criticised BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao and senior leader T. Harish Rao, accusing them of making misleading statements on the Centre’s role in Telangana’s water-related matters.
Raghunandan Rao further alleged that the BRS was attempting to revive Telangana sentiment for political gains ahead of future elections. He said the party should not provoke people in the name of water disputes merely for votes and seats. The BJP leader asserted that the people of Telangana would respond to such politics in the upcoming elections and urged political parties to focus on facts rather than creating unnecessary controversy.
