A fresh political debate has emerged in Tamil Nadu after former BJP state president K. Annamalai launched his new movement, ‘We The Leaders’. The platform focuses on leadership development, governance, education, healthcare, and community service. According to reports, the initiative received more than 10 lakh registrations within a day, generating significant attention across the state.
Reacting to the development, TVK leader and Tamil Nadu Health Minister K.G. Arunraj dismissed the initiative as “a BJP re-release.” He remarked that people do not watch every re-released film, suggesting that the platform is merely a repackaged version of Annamalai’s former party. The comments have added a new dimension to the political discussions surrounding Annamalai’s departure from the BJP.
