Police Action Against Tatha Madhu Over Alleged Remarks Against Speaker

BRS MLC Tatha Madhu was arrested by the police on Tuesday morning from his residence at the New MLA Quarters. Police also took another MLC, Naveen Kumar Reddy, into custody. A case has reportedly been registered against Tatha Madhu under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.

The action comes amid allegations that Tatha Madhu made objectionable remarks against Telangana Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar. Congress leaders had earlier demanded his arrest over the alleged remarks. The latest development has once again triggered political debate in Telangana.
