Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit Israel on February 25 and 26, according to sources. The proposed visit was mentioned by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during a public event.
Netanyahu stated that Modi is expected to address the Israeli Parliament, the Knesset, next week. He highlighted the strong and strategic partnership between India and Israel and said discussions would focus on enhancing bilateral cooperation.
Describing India as a powerful nation with a population of 1.4 billion, Netanyahu emphasized the growing importance of ties between the two countries. Sources told PTI that given Modi’s global popularity, the visit is expected to attract significant international attention. However, there has been no official confirmation yet from the Indian government.
If finalized, this would be Modi’s second visit to Israel. His previous trip took place in July 2017. Notably, this would also be his first visit after the Gaza conflict.
