Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that significant progress is being made towards implementing the Bharatiya Janata Party’s key agendas, including the Uniform Civil Code and the “One Nation, One Election” concept. Addressing party workers virtually on the occasion of BJP’s 47th foundation day, he said that discussions on these issues are gaining momentum and positive developments are being observed. He also recalled that the BJP had raised the issue of women’s reservation in legislatures as early as 1994.
Modi emphasized that the current government is committed to providing 33 percent reservation for women and aims to implement it in the 2029 Lok Sabha and Assembly elections. He also highlighted several achievements of the BJP government, including the abrogation of Article 370, construction of the new Parliament building, abolition of triple talaq, and the Citizenship Amendment Act. Criticizing the Congress party, he alleged that it focuses on a single family, while the BJP works with a service-oriented approach for the nation and ensures equal respect and importance for all its members.
