In the Telangana phone tapping case, the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLC Navin Rao underwent a second round of questioning by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) on Sunday. The interrogation, which lasted nearly eight hours from morning till night, was conducted at the Jubilee Hills Police Station. SIT officials reportedly focused on Navin Rao’s alleged contacts and associations linked to the phone tapping case. Speaking after the questioning, Navin Rao said the same issues raised earlier were repeated, asserted that he had fully cooperated with the probe, and dismissed allegations of using devices for phone tapping as baseless.
Reacting to the developments, Kukatpally BRS MLA Madhavaram Krishna Rao alleged political vendetta behind the investigation. He claimed that the inquiry was being carried out without concrete evidence and accused the authorities of targeting a particular social group. He further stated that the phone tapping and car race cases were being used as tools to harass the BRS party, calling the entire exercise a political conspiracy.
