A significant development is expected today in the phone tapping case, as former Telangana Chief Minister KCR is set to appear before the Special Investigation Team (SIT).
The inquiry will be conducted at KCR’s residence in Nandi Nagar. Although he initially requested that the questioning be held at his Erravalli farmhouse, officials did not approve the proposal. Following this, both sides agreed to proceed with the inquiry at his city residence.
According to sources, the SIT questioning is likely to begin around 3 PM today. Meanwhile, leaders and supporters of the pink party have announced peaceful protests in response to the inquiry.
In view of the SIT investigation, police have tightened security in and around Nandi Nagar. Traffic diversions have been enforced from 11 AM onwards at several key locations, including Nandi Nagar Bus Stop, Nandi Nagar Welfare Association building, JC Reddy Chicken Center, Union Bank by-lane, Basavatarakam Rotary, Agrasen Junction, TS Study Circle, NTR Bhavan, MRC Command, Road No. 12, and the Sagar Society ‘T’ Junction routes.
