People Deceived by Congress Rule, BRS Will Return to Power - KTR

BRS working president KT Rama Rao criticised the Congress government in Telangana, alleging that people had been deceived by its governance and that its promise to implement election guarantees within 100 days had not been fulfilled. Several Congress leaders and workers from Inugurthi in Mahabubabad district, led by Satturi Yadagiri, joined the BRS at Telangana Bhavan on Saturday. Addressing the gathering, KTR alleged that the State government had withheld Rythu Bandhu payments on three occasions. He also criticised the Congress leadership in Mahabubabad and said the political shift that began in Inugurthi would spread across the district and eventually the State. KTR said the BRS would return to power in the next Assembly elections and that K. Chandrashekar Rao would become Chief Minister.

The BRS has also stepped up preparations for the upcoming Graduates’ MLC elections. KTR held separate meetings with party leaders from the erstwhile Warangal, Nalgonda and Khammam districts at Telangana Bhavan and directed the cadre to ensure that every eligible graduate is enrolled as a voter. He asked the party organisation to be fully prepared by the time the election notification is issued. Recalling the BRS candidate’s narrow defeat in the previous election in the Warangal–Khammam–Nalgonda graduates’ constituency, KTR called on leaders and workers to work together for the party candidate. The Election Commission has ordered fresh electoral rolls for the two Graduates’ constituencies in Telangana, with November 1, 2026 as the qualifying date.
