Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has intensified his crackdown on various illegal activities across the state. Apart from monitoring his own ministries, he is also overseeing the departments handled by Jana Sena leaders Kandula Durgesh and Nadendla Manohar. Pawan has focused on curbing illegal ration rice transport, red sandalwood smuggling, forest resource looting, and misuse of panchayat funds. He previously took strong measures at Kakinada Port to stop large-scale ration rice smuggling.
A key discussion now is whether Pawan’s aggressive moves are delivering visible results. Jana Sena leaders argue that just as Pawan successfully controlled online abuse and took firm action against several offenders earlier, he will similarly tighten the grip on illegal networks this time. Political observers note that Pawan’s style is not rushed—he studies the issue thoroughly before acting—so clear outcomes against ration and red sandalwood mafias may soon be seen.
