Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that the country has emerged as a “guarantor of global peace and stability” while marking the first anniversary of Youm-e-Marka-e-Haq on May 10. The occasion commemorated Pakistan’s military response during the 2025 India-Pakistan conflict and included nationwide tributes to the armed forces and participants involved in Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos.
In his address to the nation, Sharif said Pakistan is now being recognised globally as a responsible country capable of defending itself while also contributing to international peace and regional stability. He linked the statement to Pakistan’s military coordination during the conflict and highlighted the country’s recent diplomatic engagements in Middle East peace efforts and global mediation initiatives.
