Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageshwara Rao praised NTR as a great leader who worked with honesty and fairness for both development and public welfare, without any difference of caste or religion. He said NTR taught values like integrity, commitment and determination in politics and earned respect for the Telugu people across the country. The minister said it is a matter of pride to inaugurate a park named after NTR in Khammam.
The NTR Park, built at a cost of ₹1 crore in Bank Colony, Khammam city, was inaugurated by the minister on Sunday. Speaking at the event, Tummala said NTR respected all religions, castes and political parties. He described Khammam as the fastest-developing city in Telangana after Hyderabad. He added that, like Hyderabad, Khammam welcomes people from all backgrounds and supports their growth, making it a city where everyone can live comfortably.
Minister Tummala also said that all major national highways pass through Khammam. Once these roads are fully completed, Khammam will emerge as one of the most livable and important cities in Telangana.
