While the Gram Panchayat elections have begun across Telangana, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s native village has drawn special attention as no elections will be held there. All posts — Sarpanch and Ward Members — were unanimously elected, eliminating the need for polling in the village.
This time, the Sarpanch position was reserved for the SC community, and Mallepa Kula Venkatayya, who has been working with the Congress Party for many years, filed his nomination for the post. Only 12 nominations were filed for 12 wards, resulting in all positions being finalized unanimously. Venkatayya expressed his gratitude to CM Revanth Reddy for the opportunity and support.
Local residents shared that mutual discussions, unity, and the absence of political rivalry led to this smooth consensus. At a time when gram panchayat elections are competitive across the state, CM Revanth Reddy’s village standing out as a symbol of peaceful political unity has become a notable topic of discussion.
