Amid the ongoing political uncertainty in Tamil Nadu, VCK General Secretary Chinthanai Selvan has made a sensational proposal. Considering the current political situation and the interests of the state, he urged both DMK and AIADMK to jointly propose VCK leader Thol Thirumavalavan as the Chief Minister. He made this appeal through a post on X.
Selvan stated that populism based on fan following could pose a risk to the future of the state. He suggested that support should be given to an experienced and corruption-free leader like Thirumavalavan. In the recent elections, TVK secured 108 seats and fell just short of the majority required to form the government. Meanwhile, VCK, as part of the DMK alliance, won 2 seats.
