NCP May Merge with Congress

Sharad Pawar’s NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar) is reportedly moving closer to a possible merger with the Congress party as discussions have entered the final stage. Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar confirmed that talks between the two sides are progressing positively, and leaders supportive of secular ideology are always welcome into the party.

The development comes amid internal divisions within the NCP after its split in 2023. While one faction supports merging with Congress, another section is reportedly inclined to join the NDA, citing political and developmental advantages. The final decision is yet to be officially announced.
