

Nara Lokesh responded to the discussion on the Amaravati Legitimacy Bill in Parliament, stating that he watched the entire debate on television. He described the discussion as intense and emotional, adding that hearing members speak about Amaravati’s history, culture, and importance made him feel proud as an Andhra native. He said the support shown by the central government and various political parties reflects the aspirations of the people of Andhra Pradesh.
He also criticized the YSRCP members for walking out of the debate, calling it irresponsible. Lokesh asserted that Amaravati’s importance has once again been highlighted at the national level through Parliament. He emphasized that the development of Andhra Pradesh cannot be stopped and expressed confidence that Amaravati will remain the permanent capital of the state.
