

Cognizant’s temporary office in Visakhapatnam was inaugurated by Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh. The facility, set up at Mahati Fintech building in Hill-2 of the Rushikonda IT Park, has been developed with a seating capacity of around 1,000. MP Sribharat, MLA Ganta Srinivasa Rao and several other public representatives participated in the event.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is scheduled to lay the foundation stone for Cognizant’s permanent campus soon. The state government has allotted 21.31 acres in Kapuluppada IT Hills for this purpose. Cognizant plans to invest about Rs. 1,583 crore to build a world-class IT and digital transformation campus in three phases.
Once the project is fully completed, nearly 8,000 jobs are expected to be created. The first phase alone, scheduled for completion by 2029, is projected to offer employment to around 3,000 people. The company aims to complete all three phases by 2033.
