Earlier this week, Heritage Foods approached the Delhi High Court seeking action against alleged malicious propaganda related to the Tirumala Laddu adulteration issue. The court issued an interim order directing Sakshi TV and certain YouTube channels to remove reports, broadcasts, debates, and other content within 24 hours and restrain from publishing or sharing any allegedly false or defamatory material against the company. The controversy reportedly emerged amid political allegations, with the YSR Congress Party accused of targeting Heritage Foods to politically corner its promoters.
Despite the court’s order, the company alleged that baseless accusations continued, prompting Heritage Foods to send legal notices to Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and other YSR Congress leaders seeking explanations and retraction of statements made during press meets. Meanwhile, Nara Lokesh is also pursuing a ₹75 crore defamation suit against Sakshi newspaper and its management over an allegedly fabricated report published in 2019. The developments highlight an escalating legal battle involving political leaders, media platforms, and corporate entities, with further proceedings expected in the coming days.
