The “Musi Gosa–BJP Bharosa Outreach Yatra,” led by BJP Telangana State President N. Ramchander Rao, commenced from Bapughat in Langar House. During the visit, he interacted with residents of Madhu Park Ridge Apartments. Affected families expressed anguish, stating that they are at risk of losing their homes under the Musi Riverfront project. Women and elderly residents were seen in distress, fearing eviction, while Ramchander Rao assured them that their grievances would be addressed and demanded an immediate halt to forced demolitions.
Speaking to the media, he clarified that the BJP is not opposed to the beautification of the Musi River but strongly objects to the displacement of poor families in its name. He stated that the Gandhi Sarovar project is being undertaken solely by the state government and dismissed claims of central support. Rao urged the government to focus on river purification and pollution control measures first. He assured that the BJP would stand firmly with displaced families and fight for their rights.
