Leaders of the BRS party visited families residing in Madhu Park Apartments who are reportedly affected by the Musi Riverfront project. Former Minister and Deputy Floor Leader Harish Rao, along with former Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy, MLAs Sudheer Reddy and Madhavaram Krishna Rao, and Rajendranagar BRS in-charge Karthik Reddy met the affected residents and listened to their concerns.
Speaking on the occasion, Harish Rao criticized the Chief Minister’s decisions, alleging that they were adversely impacting poor families. He stated that demolishing houses in the name of the project was not justified and demanded clarity on legal and procedural aspects before proceeding.
He pointed out that the Detailed Project Report (DPR) was not finalized, the Full Tank Level (FTL) status was unclear, and necessary approvals were pending. In such circumstances, issuing eviction notices was inappropriate, he said. He also demanded unconditional withdrawal of the notices served to Madhu Park Apartments.
Harish Rao further stated that the government would be questioned during the upcoming budget assembly sessions and urged authorities to respond to the grievances of affected families.
