Municipal Election Nomination Process Concludes in Andhra Pradesh

The nomination process for municipal elections in Andhra Pradesh has concluded, with a large number of candidates filing their nominations on the final day. Officials accepted nominations from candidates who reached the offices of Returning Officers (ROs) by 3 p.m.

Meanwhile, the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) lodged complaints alleging that its candidates were being prevented from filing nominations. The State Election Commission (SEC) spoke with officials from districts where candidates reportedly faced difficulties during the process. Scrutiny of nominations will begin tomorrow, while October 21 is the last date for withdrawing nominations.
