Bhongir MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy has strongly responded to Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar’s remarks. He said Sonia Gandhi’s understanding of India’s history and traditions played an important role in the formation of Telangana, and recalled that she had announced the creation of the state in Karimnagar. Chamala said Telangana was formed due to Sonia Gandhi’s efforts and claimed that Bandi Sanjay had no standing to criticize her. He also alleged that the BJP lacks the trust of Telangana voters and accused the BRS and BJP of having an understanding that benefited the BJP during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Chamala said the Congress government had implemented a ₹22,000-crore farm loan waiver after coming to power and was providing schemes including Rythu Bharosa, crop bonuses, free bus travel for women, Indiramma houses, 200 units of free electricity and subsidized LPG cylinders. He questioned the Centre’s alleged condition that Telangana would receive funds only under a double-engine government. Chamala also alleged that projects such as the Regional Ring Road, Metro Phase-2 and Musi rejuvenation were being obstructed. He urged Bandi Sanjay not to make inappropriate remarks against Sonia Gandhi.
