

The coalition government has announced a major incentive for state-born women cricketer Sri charani, who played a crucial role in her team’s success with an outstanding performance in the Women’s ODI World Cup.
On this occasion, Education and IT Minister Nara Lokesh personally met Sri charani at his Undavalli residence and presented her with a cash reward cheque of ₹2.5 crore. The government honoured her exceptional talent in recognition of her consistent performances at the international level, which brought pride to both the state and the country.
Hailing from Kadapa district, Sri charani delivered impressive performances in key matches during the recently concluded ICC Women’s ODI World Cup, playing a significant role in her team’s victories. Acknowledging her efforts, the state government announced not only a substantial cash reward but also additional assurances.
Along with the ₹2.5 crore cash incentive, the government announced the allocation of a 500-square-yard residential plot in Visakhapatnam. Furthermore, it issued official orders stating that a Group-1 level government job would be provided to her after the completion of her degree.
The event was attended by Transport, Youth and Sports Minister Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy, SAP Chairman Animini Ravinaidu, Special Chief Secretary of the Sports Department Ajay Jain, and SAP Managing Director Bharani, among others.
