BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) has alleged a conspiracy involving a ₹3,000 crore scam under the guise of foreign coal imports in Telangana. He has written an open letter to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, claiming that a secret deal had been struck in advance with a suspicious company named Bhotra Logistics. KTR alleged that an artificial coal shortage and a power crisis were created to bring the company into the picture. He called for transparency in the coal import process and sought the disclosure of agreements entered into by the state government and Singareni Collieries Company Limited with Bhotra Logistics.
KTR demanded a comprehensive investigation by an independent agency into the alleged scam. He also accused Union Minister Kishan Reddy of supporting the alleged irregularities instead of taking steps to prevent them. Stating that the BRS would not remain silent over what he described as a conspiracy involving the Congress and the BJP, KTR called for accountability and transparency in the matter. The allegations are those made by KTR, and an independent investigation would be required to establish the facts.
