Maheshwar Reddy Demands Thatha Madhu’s Dismissal

BJP Legislature Party leader Alleti Maheshwar Reddy has condemned MLC Thatha Madhu’s remarks against the Assembly Speaker. Speaking at the Assembly, he said the language used by Madhu was inappropriate and stated that all BJP MLAs strongly objected to the comments. Maheshwar Reddy also said that Leader of Opposition K. Chandrashekar Rao should apologise and questioned whether Thatha Madhu made the remarks on his own or at someone else’s direction. He demanded that Madhu be dismissed.

Maheshwar Reddy also raised concerns over the government’s handling of the 22A issue. He said the minister had personally apologised over the matter and warned that the BJP would not accept attempts to shift the responsibility entirely onto officials. He demanded that Minister Sridhar Babu give an assurance of an inquiry by a sitting judge, saying the BJP would withdraw its protest only after such a commitment. He further questioned whether a forensic audit of Dharani had been conducted and, if so, why the report had not been made public. He demanded that the findings be released in the public domain and accused the government of resorting to “diversion politics”.
