TPCC President and MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud made sensational remarks in the Legislative Council, challenging political leaders to undergo drug tests. He stated that he is ready to bring Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for a drug test and questioned whether BRS chief KCR would be willing to do the same. Goud asserted that the Congress party is prepared to present all candidates who received B-forms for drug testing and dared other parties to follow suit.
He further alleged that drug and ganja usage had increased significantly during the previous ten years of governance, leading many youths into addiction. Questioning the opposition, he asked why those who demanded breath analyzer tests are now hesitant to accept drug analysis. He also raised concerns over why certain names repeatedly surface whenever the issue of drugs is discussed.
