At a press meet held at Gandhi Bhavan, TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud extended birthday wishes to K. T. Rama Rao while sharply criticizing the BRS party’s stance on protests. He questioned KTR’s right to stage a dharna, recalling that the BRS government had earlier removed Dharna Chowk. He demanded that KTR apologize publicly and understand the democratic right to protest. He also contrasted the active role of Mallikarjun Kharge in supporting students with the absence of K. Chandrashekar Rao from key issues.
Goud further accused the BRS regime of irregularities, including alleged exam paper leaks and failure to release reports related to student deaths. He questioned why accountability was not ensured and demanded financial assistance for affected families. He alleged that political motives were behind recent protests and urged students not to be misled. Highlighting public sentiment, he stated that the people had already rejected BRS in parliamentary elections. He also mentioned that Rahul Gandhi is fighting for justice for students, including demands for the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan.
