Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy strongly criticized the opposition during the Assembly session in Hyderabad. Replying to the discussion on the Governor’s address, he spoke for nearly two and a half hours.
Addressing the Musi river cleanup issue, the CM recalled past statements made by KCR and KTR. He stated that KCR had earlier admitted that around 28,000 illegal constructions existed over drainage systems in Hyderabad and had suggested demolishing them even without notices. He also mentioned that KTR had ordered strict removal of such encroachments.
Revanth Reddy accused the opposition of spreading misinformation now, despite previously supporting similar actions. He alleged that opposition leaders are indulging in toxic politics.
He further claimed that the previous BRS government had sold the Outer Ring Road and said he has already issued orders to cancel that decision. He added that he is ready to take further action if required.
Challenging the opposition, he said, “Let’s see how they win in 2029.” He also made sharp remarks stating that they had come to power with support from Chandrababu. The CM expressed confidence that his party will return to power in 2029.
Describing the Governor’s address as historic, he said it serves as a roadmap for Telangana’s future. He criticized the BRS for not changing its arrogant attitude and remarked that some leaders still behave like monarchs in a democratic system.
