At the birthday celebrations of K. Chandrashekar Rao, K. T. Rama Rao recalled the challenging circumstances under which the Telangana movement began, stating that confronting powerful political forces at the time required extraordinary courage. He noted that despite lacking financial strength, media backing, or institutional support, the determination to secure justice for Telangana drove the movement forward and ultimately led to the formation of the state after years of struggle.
Rama Rao said that KCR not only led a successful mass movement but also proved his administrative capability by steering the state toward development during his tenure. He added that Telangana’s formation was rooted in sacrifice, self-respect, and the inspiration of several historic figures who fought for identity and rights, and stressed the need to preserve those ideals.
